Brief
Every book you finished this year, reviewed in two paragraphs each: the assigned ones you hated, the embarrassing one you loved, all of them. No plot summaries pasted from anywhere; your reaction is the content. You write every review; the agent challenges lazy verdicts and pushes for specifics. Books you abandoned get a one-line entry saying so.
Personalize
- Your year's list. Whatever you finished, even if it is four books. Four honest reviews beat twenty invented ones.
- Your verdicts. Disagreeing with the consensus is allowed and interesting. So is liking the assigned book.
- A recurring line. One question you answer for every book (would you reread it? who should skip it?) gives the page a spine.
Milestones
- The list assembled from memory, shelves, and school reading, with finished and abandoned marked.
- Reviews drafted by you, two paragraphs each, starting with the books you remember most sharply.
- Workshop pass: the agent flags any review that could have been written without reading the book; you sharpen those.
