Prepare a teleprompter script

Prepare a teleprompter script for natural delivery, factual accuracy, readable pacing, pronunciation, and controlled updates.

Write for breath, meaning, and the speaker's actual voice.

When to use

  • Use for announcements, explainers, training, events, interviews, or live links with approved wording.
  • Do not disguise sponsored, simulated, or quoted speech as spontaneous testimony.

Procedure

  1. Confirm audience, purpose, length, tone, factual sources, required language, speaker, and approval owner.
  2. Write short spoken sentences with one idea per breath and explicit transitions.
  3. Spell out ambiguous numbers, symbols, URLs, acronyms, and pronunciation cues.
  4. Mark emphasis, pause, beat, camera or slide change, and non-spoken production notes distinctly.
  5. Fact-check claims, names, dates, quotes, legal wording, and calls to action.
  6. Read aloud at realistic speed, time the script, and revise tongue-twisters or unnatural phrasing.
  7. Format large readable lines with version, page, segment, and change controls.
  8. Rehearse with the speaker and lock the approved recording version.
