Plan a contract handoff
Translate an approved contract into owned operational duties, controls, and milestones.
Procedure
- Confirm the executed version, effective date, scope, and authorized readers.
- Extract deliverables, dependencies, service levels, notices, approvals, reporting, payment, renewal, and exit duties.
- Have qualified owners resolve ambiguous or legally sensitive interpretations.
- Map each operational obligation to an owner, evidence source, due date, backup, and escalation path.
- Add implementation milestones, acceptance criteria, access needs, and data-transfer controls.
- Create calendars for notice windows, reviews, price changes, certifications, and renewal decisions.
- Rehearse a missed deliverable, disputed acceptance, security event, and owner absence.
- Obtain supplier and internal acknowledgement of the operating plan.
Guardrails
- Do not treat an operational summary as a replacement for the executed agreement.
- Never assign obligations to teams that have not accepted ownership and capacity.
- Protect confidential terms and personal data according to access rules.
