Write up the thing you fixed

Brief

You fixed something: a bike, a lamp, a laptop, a group project that was sinking. Write the repair up so the next person with the same problem can follow it. What broke, what you tried first, what worked, with your own photos at the steps that matter. You write every sentence; the agent questions your draft and catches gaps, but the fixing and the telling are yours.

Personalize

• The fix. One you did yourself, recently enough that you still remember the dead ends. The dead ends are the useful part.
• The reader. Picture the person searching this problem at 11pm. Put the exact symptom, error, or model number in the title for them.
• The photos. Yours, taken during the repair or re-staged after. If you have none, open the thing back up and shoot the key steps.

Milestones

1. Outline in your own words: symptom, attempts, the fix, what you would do differently.
2. First full draft written by you, failed attempts included.
3. Photos gathered or re-shot, then captioned.
4. Revision pass: the agent asks the questions a confused reader would ask, and you answer them in the text.
5. Published at a public URL with a searchable title.

Done means

• Live at a public URL, findable by the symptom in the title
• Someone with the same problem could follow it without contacting you
• Every sentence is yours; the agent only pushed on drafts you wrote
• Photos are your own and show the steps that need showing
• Failed attempts appear in the writeup, labeled as failures
