Write a professional bio

Write a truthful professional biography fitted to a specific audience, length, and use.

Choose facts that establish relevance for this audience. A short accurate bio is stronger than inflated positioning.

Procedure

  1. Confirm placement, audience, purpose, voice, person, length, required fields, and publication date.
  2. Gather verified role, organization, expertise, selected work, education or credentials, location, interests, links, and pronunciation where relevant.
  3. Rank facts by relevance and recency rather than prestige alone.
  4. Draft the first sentence with current work and the specific value or subject the person addresses.
  5. Add one or two evidence-bearing details, then an optional human detail with consent.
  6. Produce the requested version plus a shorter fallback if useful.
  7. Remove jargon, unsupported superlatives, stale affiliations, and claims that imply certification or authority.
  8. Verify names, titles, organizations, dates, awards, links, and preferred identity language.
  9. Obtain the subject's approval and save the intended context and review date.

Failure plan

  • Never invent employers, titles, clients, results, credentials, awards, or personal details.
  • Do not disclose age, family, health, identity, location, or contact information without consent.
  • If a claim cannot be verified, remove or qualify it.
  • Do not reuse a bio after a material role change without review.
