Working Resume skill

Create a leadership portfolio

Demonstrate leadership judgment through sourced cases, operating artifacts, tradeoffs, and reflection.

Procedure

  1. Define audience, leadership mandate, confidentiality, format, and decisions the portfolio should support.
  2. Select varied cases showing direction, execution, people, systems, crisis, learning, and ethical judgment.
  3. For each case, state context, stakes, constraints, role, authority, collaborators, options, decisions, and outcome.
  4. Include permitted artifacts such as plans, diagrams, metrics, decision records, retrospectives, or public links.
  5. Distinguish direct action, team contribution, sponsorship, governance, and external conditions.
  6. Show uncertainty, dissent, failure, changed approach, residual risk, and what the leader learned.
  7. Redact or recreate examples without making them misleading or disclosing protected information.
  8. Test navigation, accessibility, evidence links, viewing permissions, and spoken walkthrough.

Guardrails

  • Do not upload confidential employer work, customer data, employee detail, or proprietary templates.
  • Never claim sole ownership of a team decision or outcome.
  • Do not remove failures and tradeoffs until the cases become marketing fiction.
